DeskNow Messenger uses the open standard Jabber / XMPP protocol, which means that you can use the integrated messenger client or any other Jabber client freely available.
The integrated messenger client is enabled by default, and is loaded automatically when you login. To learn how to use it, click here. The messenger client requires your browser to be Java enabled.
If you don't want or can't use the integrated messenger, you can use an external Jabber client. First make sure that you disable the integrated messenger.
Many clients are available for free, for almost any OS (Windows,Linux,Mac,BSD,etc.) and for many mobile devices (PocketPC, Java phones, etc).
A list is available at http://www.jabber.org/user/clientlist.php
DeskNow has been tested with Gaim, Psi and Exodus, the most popular Jabber clients. If you encounter problems in using other clients, please contact us.
