By default, DeskNow checks your account for new messages every 10 minutes. When new messages are found in any message board, an alert sound is played and a (!) sign appears in the title bar of your browser.
The number of new messages that were found in each message board is displayed next to the name of the message board.
If you left the browser open on a message board, the view will automatically refresh to display the updated list of messages.
You can disable message checking, or change the check interval, from the Preferences page.
