Once connected, the DeskNow messenger displays alerts for various purposes.
Currently you will see an alert (a small yellow panel appearing at the bottom-right corner of the screen for a few seconds) when the following occurs:
an user comes online and is available to chat
you have received a new email (the alert will display sender and subject)
If you leave your desk for some time, set your status to away or extended away. Your alert will be saved in a log window, so that when you come back you can review all the alerts received (NB user presence alerts are not saved).
You can disable alerts for new emails in the Preferences / Messenger page.
