Message boards are the preferred way to communicate with a group of people using DeskNow.
A message board is an electronic discussion place, where users can post messages for others to see and reply to. The most important difference with email is that when you post a message in a message board, everyone that has access to the message board will be able to read it. Messages do not have individual recipients, like email.
There are many advantages of using message boards for group communication:
message boards are a 'knowledge repository' for your organization, and the knowledge is not dispersed in individual mail boxes
when new users join your group, it is easier for them to catch up with the current knowledge, by just browsing the relevant message boards
it is easier for a group of people to have an ongoing discussions using message boards, instead of using email with 'reply to all' - messages do not get lost, and there are less emails in your personal inbox
As with many other DeskNow features, message boards can be accessed by mobile devices.
No device synchronization is necessary.
