Reading emails

To read an email, open the mail folder where it is stored and click on its line in the folder listing.

 

By default, DeskNow shows you the email in the preview pane (the lower half of the window, under the folder listing).

You can also read the email in full screen. See Full screen and split views for more information.

 

If you double-click on the email line, the email will open in a new window.

 

When viewing an email, you are shown the most relevant message information (From, To, etc), the text of the message and, if present, the attachments.

 

If you want to add the sender name and address to your contact list, click on the Add link next to his/her name, and save the contact. You can add the contact of any person included in the to or cc fields, as well.

 

Emails that have an attachment show the icon next to the To field. If you click on the icon, you are brought to the bottom of the text, where the attachments are listed.

 

Here you can:

 

Click on the appropriate icon for the operation.

 

To reply to an email, click on the Reply link.

 

To send your reply to all the recipients of the original mail, click on Reply to all.

 

You can also Forward the email to someone else, or Delete it.

 

If you believe that this email is spam, you can just click on the This is spam link. The email will be deleted, and the sender of the message will be automatically marked as spammer in the apposite This is spam filter, so that you will not receive more emails from that address.
