Disk usage and disk quota

Whenever you upload a document or send or receive an email, your disk usage counter is increased, and the disk usage of your community is increased as well, for the same quantity.

To control the disk usage of the DeskNow server, the Administrator can enforce disk quotas onto users and communities.

If your disk usage has reached the disk quota set for your account, you will not be able to upload new files, send emails, or even receive emails. Be careful! You may lose some important emails!

Your disk usage and the disk usage of your community (where applicable) is displayed in your DeskNow home page, which is accessible by clicking Home on the DeskNow menu.

Disk usage on shared objects

When you share a file folder, or a message board, you remain the owner of the object, and therefore you are responsible for it. For example, if someone uploads a file in a folder that you are sharing, this will increase your disk usage and not the other user's.
